On November 24th, 2021, an online workshop on cybersecurity was organized by the Empowering EU ISAC consortium and the European Commission (DG CONNECT). This workshop was about Supply Chain Cybersecurity, an important topic that can be approached from many perspectives.
During the workshop, Marianthi Theocharidou, a Cyber Security Officer from ENISA provides an overview on the threat landscape for supply chain attacks. They have written a report that mapped and studied supply chain attacks that were discovered from January 2020 to early July 2021.
Second speaker was Bart van Riel, Enterprise Architect at Capgemini Invent, who works in the Empower EU ISAC consortium. In the presentation, he spoke in more detail about a SBOM, short for “Software Bill of Material”, and what it contributes -or can contribute- to managing supply chain risk.
The workshop was attended by members of the internal project team who will transfer new knowledge through the implementation of the project to the functioning of the entire system of CHC Rijeka.
