On October 8th, 2021, an online thematic workshop sessions on cybersecurity was organized by the Empowering EU ISAC consortium. The topic of the workshop was developing Situation Awareness.
It will discuss how Situational Awareness (SA) can improve cyber resilience for Critical Infrastructures. Situational Awareness means knowing what is going on in your environment at any point in time in order to respond correctly and efficiently when an incident occurs. The lecturer at the workshop explained the Situation Awareness posture in the USA and how USA Energy ISAC together with utility companies has improved the Situation Awareness for the energy sector.
This online workshop helped the participants to:
– gain insights into what Situational Awareness can deliver an ISAC
– motivate with real-life examples that illustrate how Situational Awareness has helped organizations avoid breaches.
The workshop was attended by members of the internal project team who will transfer new knowledge through the implementation of the project to the functioning of the entire system of CHC Rijeka.
