On September 10th, 2021, the third in a series of educational workshops of internal staff on the topic of cyber security was held in the premises of the Informatics Service. Educational workshops are held as part of the activities “Development of Internal Cybersecurity Policy and Procedures”, and are intended for employees of all medical and non-medical organizational units.
The workshop was held in two parts, and two important topics were covered. The first topic was “Analysis of the server infrastructure and IT network”, and the second was “Suggestions for improving the server infrastructure and IT network”.
During the workshop, the current state of the entire IT infrastructure was presented, including the state of the server, server room, network infrastructure, overview of network design and device configuration. Then there was a discussion about the necessary upgrades and consolidation of servers and other equipment for better management and administration, which would contribute to greater security of the entire information system of the CHC Rijeka. CHC Rijeka employees went through all the debatable and problematic points and issues with the guest lecturers and exchanged experiences in order to reach a common and most efficient solution. The lecturers were a member of the project team in charge of professional issues Vedran Jedrejčić, M.Eng.El. and guest lecturers Borna Hohnjec and Mladen Pongračić from Span d.d.
