hen you want to get information about the health of your relative, who is hospitalized, look for his room physician or attending physician.

In the afternoon and night shifts, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, only the duty doctor is on duty in the department who is familiar with the health status of the patients, but is rarely the attending physician or your room physician.

  • General info

Report your wishes and suggestions to the doctor on rounds or to the nurse.  On further check-ups you will be accompanied, if necessary, by a hospital employee.

During your stay in the hospital please take only the medicines prescribed by your attending physician.
If you previously used other medicines tell it to your doctor and he/she shall assess whether you need to continue the therapy.

If you leave the department, inform the nurse.

  • Visits

Visits outside the dedicated hours are possible with the written permission of the departmental doctor. We kindly ask the visitors not to sit on patients’ beds during visits as they are intended primarily for the patients’ rest.

All departments in the Clinical Hospital have unified visiting times:

    • weekdays from 3.30pm to 5.30pm
    • Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 2.00pm to 5.00pm
  • Daily schedule

Please respect the daily working schedule of the department where you are and make it known to your visitors. The hospital day and working day of the employees runs with minor variations in all departments as:

    • 7.00am to 2.00pm care, breakfast, morning rounds, check-ups, examinations, surgeries, therapeutic procedures, examinations in specialized clinics, lunch, afternoon rest
    • 2.00pm to 3.00pm handing over of the midday shift to the afternoon shift
    • 3.00pm to 8.00pm visiting hours, afternoon rounds, care, dinner
    • 10.00pm to 6.00am – handing over of the afternoon shift to the night shift, night rest

Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 8.30am, lunch from 12.00 to 1.00pm and dinner from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

  • Fasting

For some procedures it is necessary to be fasting. You will be warned about it and please follow the instructions thoroughly. Please also make sure that your exit from the hospital room does not interfere with rounds, examinations and daily meal times.

  • Your consent

Each medical procedure requires your consent.
Therefore upon your admission a doctor shall make you familiar with all the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, which are necessary to improve your health status. Before you sign the consent statement, the doctor shall explain all the possible risks, consequences and complications.

  • Money and valuables

Please do not bring to the hospital larger amounts of money and valuables (gold, silver and precious stones) because the hospital staff cannot be responsible for it. Keep the money with you.
For patients who are admitted for treatment in an unconscious state and unaccompanied by family members, the hospital staff shall list the money and valuables and hand them over to the responsible nurse of the department in which the patient shall be.

  • Hospital release

Your release from hospital is planned, and you and your family will be timely informed.
The staff in the department will give you clear instructions regarding the release.

If the patient wants to willfully leave the hospital, he/she must sign a statement or give an oral statement in front of two witnesses who then sign a statement of the patient’s intent to willfully leave the hospital. The willful leaving of the hospital can be banned if prescribed by a special law, in cases where it would damage the patient’s health and the health or safety of other persons.
